For the academic year 2023-2024, University of Calabria will award 150 scholarships to foreign students enrolled to the 10 International Master Degrees, taught in English, including:
1. Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science
2. Environmental and Territorial Safety Engineering
3. Robotics and Automation Engineering
4. Telecommunication Engineering

Here are the requirements to apply for the scholarship:
- Be a foreign student: The scholarship is open to students from all countries except Italy.
- Be enrolled in one of the 10 International Master Degrees taught in English: These programs include Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science, Environmental and Territorial Safety Engineering, Robotics and Automation Engineering, and Telecommunication Engineering.
- Have a bachelor’s degree: You must have completed a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification before the start of the master’s program.
- Meet the academic requirements: You must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or equivalent in your undergraduate studies.
- Meet the English language requirements: You must have a minimum English language proficiency score of IELTS 6.0 or equivalent.
- Demonstrate financial need: The scholarship is based on family income, and you must provide evidence of your financial situation.
- Submit a complete application: You must submit all required documents, including transcripts, a statement of purpose, letters of recommendation, and proof of English language proficiency.
The scholarship covers tuition fees, student accommodation and meals, and a monthly allowance of €2500-3000 based on family income.
Instructions to apply for the scholarship offered by the University of Calabria (UNICAL):
- Choose a program: Review the 10 International Master Degrees offered by UNICAL and select the program that you want to apply for.
- Check eligibility: Make sure you meet all the eligibility criteria for the scholarship, including the academic requirements, English language proficiency, and financial need.
